Mission:
It is the Howard Residential Care Facility and Patty Elwood Center’s mission to meet the needs within its service area, and to provide long-term residential and intermediate\skilled nursing care and other services, related health services, while remaining financially viable.
Residential Services
The Howard Residential Care Facility (HRCF) provides residential care for 49 residents and respite services for short-term needs.
We are located two miles from Cresco in a serene country setting. We have outdoor areas where residents can enjoy the relaxed atmosphere.
We Offer
- Choice of available double rooms or deluxe private rooms
- Daily transportation to and from Cresco
- Three nutritional meals with choices
- Personalized individual attention to your needs
- Structured activities seven days a week, including community events
- Assistance with medications
- Assistance with coordinating , scheduling, transporting and accompanying you to your doctor appointments
- Assistance with your personal care
- Complete laundry and housekeeping service daily
- Coffee and refreshments served three times daily
- Beautician that comes weekly
- Handicap accessible van for ease of transportation
- Home and Community Based Services including Elderly Waiver and MR Waiver
All of this is included in our daily rate, with no hidden charges.
Respite Services
Respite is short term care that helps families caring for loved ones get a much needed break.
Howard Residential Care Facility can provide respite services in two ways:
- Adult Day Services: Provides family members a break during the day while their loved-one attends Adult Day Service Program. Adult Day Services is a day program that provides socialization, meals, individualized cares, and limited transportation for participants.
- 24-Hour Care Respite: Provides family members the opportunity for a break for more than a single day by providing 24-hour cares for a loved one in a safe, caring home-like and social environment. Prior arrangements need to be made.
