Medical StaffJon Kammerer , MD
Dr. Kammerer is a graduate of Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa, with a B.A. in Physics and a graduate of the University of Iowa College of Medicine, Iowa City, with his Doctor of Medicine degree in 2004. He completed his Family Medicine Residency at Mercy Medical Center - North Iowa, in Mason City. When asked why Dr. Kammerer chose family medicine as his specialty, he responded, "I chose family practice because I enjoy working with patients of all ages. There is no higher compliment than when a family member sends their loved ones to see you. I also enjoy the continuity in family medicine. It allows for deeper, more fulfilling doctor/patient relationships. I enjoy obstetrics a great deal. It is a privilege to be invited into such a special time in the life of a family. I have delivered over 60 babies and assisted in cesarean sections. I am training to do early OB ultrasounds in the office." Dr. Kammerer noted that he was interested in Cresco "because of the opportunity to work with excellent physicians, practice a broad spectrum of medicine, and raise my family in an active and close community. My wife and I enjoy being involved in Bible studies and other church activities. We have an unusually large variety of board games. We also like to camp, read and travel."
