What's New Janis Rockabrand, PA-c
By Sue Heimerdinger, RHSHC Administrative/Marketing Coordinator
Often we focus on the education and work experience of our medical
staff, which is very important. But of equal importance is taking
the time to ask another question. What do you do as therapy for
your soul?
Janis Rockabrand, Physician Assistant, has spent
the better part of her life educating herself on how to meet the
physical
and mental needs of her patients. Her practice at the Cresco
Medical Clinic is busy and rewarding. She also makes patient
visits at area nursing homes and even makes “house calls” for
clinic patients who are physically unable to come in to the clinic.
Janis has many interests and enjoys a number of hobbies, one
of which is oil painting. What began as a local evening art class
to take with her daughter has turned into a passion for Janis.
Janis continued taking private art lessons and has completed
a variety of beautiful oil paintings displayed throughout her
home. Most proudly displayed are portraits of her son, Ben, and
daughter, Elizabeth.
The satisfaction derived from doing something
that gives you pleasure, taking the time to do something for yourself,
or completing
a project and displaying it on your wall for all to enjoy is
truly therapy for this special caregiver’s soul.
